What is Hapkido?

Hapkido is a Korean martial art centered on self-defense, control, movement, balance, timing, and the ability to redirect an opponent’s energy. Training can include joint-control techniques, throws, pressure-point concepts, kicks, strikes, and escapes.

Rather than relying solely on physical strength, Hapkido emphasizes body mechanics, positioning, leverage, circular movement, and controlled technique.
